 IEC Code

Importer Exporter Code is unique ten digit number code issued by DGFT – Director General of Foreign Trade , Ministry of Commerce, Government of India to Indian Companies. to any bonafide person/ company for carrying out import/export.

Full From of IEC Code is : “Importer Exporter Code ”. To import or export in India, IEC Code is mandatory. No person or entity shall make any Import or Export without IEC Code Number.

Duplicate Copy of IEC Number

Where an IEC Number is lost or misplaced, the issuing authority may consider requests for grant of a duplicate copy of IEC number, if accompanied by an affidavit.

Surrender of IEC Number

If an IEC holder does not wish to operate the allotted IEC number, he may surrender the same by informing the issuing authority. On receipt of such intimation, the issuing authority shall immediately cancel the same and electronically transmit it to DGFT for onward transmission to the Customs and Regional Authorities.

IF Individuals

1.      PAN Card copy and address proof

2.      Bank Account Details

3.      Bankers Certificate

4.      SSI certificate if Manufacturer

5.      DSC – Digital Signature Certificate

     6.      Applicant’s  Passport Size Photo 

If Partnership

1.      PAN Card copy of the firm

2.      Copy of Partnership firm

3.      Copy of Pan card & address proof of all the partners

4.      Bank Account Details - firm

5.      Bankers Certificate

6.      SSI certificate if Manufacturer

7.      DSC – Digital Signature Certificate

8.      Applicant’s  Passport Size Photo

If Company

1.      PAN Card copy of the company

2.      Copy of MOA & AOA

3.      Copy of Pan card & address proof of all the Directors

4.      Bank Account Details

5.      Bankers Certificate

6.      SSI certificate if Manufacturer

7.      DSC – Digital Signature Certificate

8.      Applicant’s  Passport Size Photo
